Aston Villa star midfielder Jack Grealish has an important decision to lock down regarding his future ahead of the new Premier League season.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s nothing in the way of stopping Grealish sealing a big-money move away from Aston Villa this summer despite the uncertainty surrounding his future building up as the 25-year-old midfielder demand is rapidly escalating and has attracted keen interest from the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal in the transfer window.<\/p>\n
City are understood to be prioritizing Grealish – believed to be valued at around the \u00a3100million – mark as one of their top two targets, alongside Harry Kane.<\/p>\n
Whether or not Villa\u2019s star man decides to stay put at his boyhood club or if he will seek a new challenge ahead of the new season now remains to be seen.<\/p>\n
Former Liverpool and England midfielder Danny Murphy is of the opinion that an opportunity to make such a move may not beckon again for Grealish, adding that the talented midfielder needs to be \u201cproactive\u201d should he want to force an exit.<\/p>\n
\u201cJack can do what he likes,\u201d Murphy said on talkSPORT.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe can knock on the door and say \u2018I want to go now and win trophies and play in the Champions League.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is hot property at the moment, he is at the peak of his powers and the problem is, in football, it\u2019s very hard to have a longer-term view as a player.<\/p>\n
\u201cGenerally you do get advised with a consistent message, is take what you can when you can because you don\u2019t know that in a year you could do your knee, you could have a dip in form, Jack Grealish all of a sudden isn\u2019t worth 90 or 100 million,\u201d added Murphy.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe might not get a Man City opportunity again, so actually, Jack doesn\u2019t need to sit tight if he wants to move, he\u2019s got to be proactive.\u201d<\/p>\n
Grealish signed a new contract at Villa back in September as Dean Smith\u2019s side attempted to fend off outside interest.<\/p>\n
