Pundit Dean Windass is certain that if new Los Blancos head coach Carlo Ancelotti wants his former charge, James Rodriguez, at Real Madrid, then the Colombian would be on the next flight out to the Spanish capital.<\/p>\n

Ancelotti had spent a good part of last summer convincing Rodriguez to swap Madrid for Everton following the latter\u2019s struggles at the club for the best part of six seasons, although admittedly two of those were spent at Bayern Munich.<\/p>\n

Rodriguez did exactly that and ended up one of the most high-profile free transfers\u00a0ever, making a blistering start to his Toffees career by scoring three times\u00a0and assisting just as many in his opening five Premier League matches as Everton topped the table.<\/p>\n

However, several different muscle injuries restricted the midfielder to only 13 league appearances after Christmas but that hasn\u2019t poured cold water on Ancelott\u2019s desire to bring Rodriguez back to the Santiago Bernabeu less than 12 months after he made the switch to the Premier League.<\/p>\n

And Windass told Football FanCast<\/em> that the 29-year-old wouldn\u2019t think twice about returning to Spain:<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, he\u2019s the best player they\u2019ve got \u2013 it was a great signing from Ancelotti. And if you were going to sign for anybody, you would sign for Real Madrid.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t know this, but if he says, \u2018I\u2019m going to Real Madrid, I want you to come with me\u2019, he will be on the next flight out there.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you have got that affinity with a manager, they you\u2019re going to trust each other.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
