Manchester City\u2019s Phil Foden has been named as the Premier League Young Player of the Season to commemorate an outstanding campaign by the incredibly-gifted youngster.<\/p>\n
The young England international has meritoriously and continually dazzled for Pep Guardiola\u2019s side and was a regularly-featured key member of their title-winning team.<\/p>\n
Foden won the award ahead of the likes of Chelsea\u2019s Mason Mount and West Ham United\u2019s Declan Rice.<\/p>\n

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton), Ruben Dias (Manchester City), Ilan Meslier (Leeds United), Mount (Chelsea), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Rice (West Ham United), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal).<\/p>\n
The 21-year-old had made 28 league appearances for City – contributing nine goals and five assists – as they pressed ahead all season to win the title convincingly, leaving all opposition a long way behind.<\/p>\n
Foden had often been inspiringly mesmeric starring in a diversity of challenging roles under Guardiola with his touch, skill and game intelligence continually impressing as he improved with each passing match.<\/p>\n
The lad has clearly and rapidly evolved to become an integral part of the invincible City machinery, with the trust placed on him often even in the biggest games, including crucial league wins over Chelsea and Liverpool in January and February \u2014 both matches where he registered a goal and an assist.<\/p>\n
His imperious form for City had not gone unnoticed by the national powers that be and was duly rewarded with a call-up to the England squad for the European Championship and he is expected to play an integral role under national coach Gareth Southgate this summer.<\/p>\n
