Argentine maverick Mauricio Pochettino was surprisingly given the sack by Spurs in November 2019 and was swiftly replaced by Jose Mourinho.<\/p>\n
The Argentine had done a magnificent job turning the north London club into top four regulars for continuous seasons and got them to the Champions League final just a few months before he was put to the guillotine.<\/p>\n
However, after his departure, things eventually retrogressed under Mourinho\u00a0who was in turn axed just six days prior to the club\u2019s Carabao Cup final match in April, which they subsequently lost with temporary boss Ryan Mason in charge and ended the season in seventh.<\/p>\n
As it is, the club are now searching for a new manager and the Sun claims that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is actually seriously contemplating a move to bring Pochettino back to north London. On top of that, the report says that the Argentine manager, currently the boss at Paris Saint-Germain, would love to have a second chance at Tottenham.<\/p>\n
Levy is said to have admitted to friends that he had erred in sacking the Argentine, who had spent five years at the club. The 49-year-old replaced Thomas Tuchel at the Parisien club earlier this year and led them to the Coupe de France but were edged out of the Ligue 1 title by Lille while also crashing out of the Champions League to Manchester City at the semi-final stage.<\/p>\n
Brighton\u2019s Graham Potter has also been linked to the Spurs job alongside Ajax\u2019s Erik ten Hag and Nuno Espirito Santo, who was recently given the sack at Wolves.<\/p>\n
