League leaders Atletico Madrid defiantly took a giant step towards the La Liga title in dramatic circumstances by gritting their teeth and clawing their way back to beat Osasuna 2-1 at home on Sunday – thanks to a late beauty of a scorcher from their perennial dangerman, Luis Suarez.<\/p>\n
Atletico clearly dominated the game and slammed the woodwork twice in the first half and was really unfortunate to have two goals ruled out for offside. They then had a momentary lapse and fell behind in the 76th minute when a sizzling bullet header from Ante Budimir zipped past the line before goalie Jan Oblak could punch it away.<\/p>\n
Atletico finally regrouped and retaliated with an emphatic finish from substitute Renan Lodi in the 82nd minute while top hired gun Suarez wrapped up the showdown in the 88th.<\/p>\n
