The Dutchman has apparently made it a habit to target either VAR or the referees\u2019 poor decision-making as convenient scapegoats for several losses or draws this season.<\/p>\n
Allegedly the board believes that it is not kosher to blame the referees or VAR for difficulties experienced throughout the season. They are actually of the opinion \u2013 au contraire <\/em>to Koeman \u2013 that the\u00a0El Classico\u00a0<\/em>loss was independent of any bad call from the referee. The board does not doubt Bar\u00e7a\u2019s ability to win the domestic double, except that they are not particularly pleased with the Dutch manager\u2019s ungracious attitude towards losses.<\/p>\n Koeman had blatantly attributed the blamefor six of Bar\u00e7a\u2019s seven losses in domestic competitions to bad calls from VAR or the referee. Despte the fact that there are speculations from the fanbase that some referees in Spain, for reasons unknown, are disinclined towards the Catalans when it comes to making calls, it is still unprofessional and uncouth for a coach to behave the way Koeman has in shoving all blame on VAR and match officials like he has in 14 of Bar\u00e7a\u2019s 45 games this season.<\/p>\n Ideally, the 58-year-old should focus instead on minimalising his team\u2019s errors to maximise their performance for future matches.<\/p>\n
