The new Tottenham trio of Son, Bale and Kane are starting to link up brilliantly in the final third for Jose Mourinho’s in-form side ahead of Sunday’s crucial north London derby against Arsenal.<\/p>\n
Son Heung-min says that Gareth Bale is a natural and “born to play football” and hopes that the Welshman scores for Tottenham Hotspur in Sunday’s north London derby against Arsenal.<\/p>\n
Son and Kane have consistently been the lynchpins of Spurs’ attacking success this season, having provided assists for one another for 14 goals this season, more than any other duo in Premier League history. The pair are now only two goals off the all-time record set by Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.<\/p>\n
However, in recent weeks, a new catalyst was added into the Son-Kane alchemy as Bale has begun to add a new sizzle to the front attacking chemistry to forge Spurs\u2019\u00a0attacking threat into a more lethal trident.<\/p>\n
Kane assisted both of Bale’s goals in the 4-1 win against Crystal Palace last weekend, while Bale provided Kane with the assist against Burnley last month.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile Son, definitely not out of the picture, has also started to develop a connection with Bale, too and provided the assists for Bale’s two goals against Burnley earlier this year. Reciprocally, Bale assisted Son’s opener in the Europa League first leg against Wolfsberger.<\/p>\n
Spurs have won their last five games going into Sunday’s derby and the South Korean believes Bale’s footballing qualities could be vital against Arsenal.<\/p>\n
“Everyone knows what Gaz can bring to the team,” Son told BBC Football Focus.<\/p>\n
“I am really happy that he is enjoying playing football because he\u2019s born to play football.<\/p>\n
“When you see his quality (puffs his cheek), it\u2019s just incredible and I am really happy for him.<\/p>\n
“We will see what\u2019s going to happen but we want to go there and win this game. I hope Gareth scores and then we celebrate all together. I don\u2019t mind who scores. I just want to win this kind of game.”<\/p>\n
The Spurs\u2019 Kane, Son and Bale trio have meanwhile have scored 48 goals between them so far this season, which is just 17 fewer than the entire Arsenal squad combined, and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says they pose a difficult challenge to his team.<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s very difficult because the level of quality, precision, understanding and chemistry that they have between them makes them probably one of the most special (attacks) in Europe,” he said.<\/p>\n
“And they don\u2019t need much. They are able to create their own chances, they are able to link as a team.<\/p>\n
“So it is really difficult to do, but we will prepare the game well to try to stop them obviously.”<\/p>\n
Spurs have the opportunity to move 10 points clear their rivals Arsenal on Sunday to secure what could be a fifth consecutive season finishing above the Gunners.<\/p>\n
