PSG playmaker and oft-controversial star Neymar has taken to Twitter to counter Marseille\u2019s Alvaro Gonzalez and made stunning claims as to what was said that sparked the ugly brawl that saw five players including the Brazilian sent off.<\/p>\n
The Paris Saint-Germain star was issued marching orders for slapping Gonzalez in the back of the head in late drama that marred Marseille\u2019s 1-0 win.<\/p>\n
As Neymar headed off he complained to the fourth official that his actions had been prompted by confrontational racist language directed at him by Gonzalez.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was being a racist, that\u2019s why I hit him,\u201d he alleged.<\/p>\n
Neymar to social media to clear the air, claiming that he was called a \u2018monkey motherf***er\u2019 and regretted he had not punched \u2018ar******\u2019 Gonzalez in the face.<\/p>\n
\u201cVAR spotting my \u2018attack\u2019 is easy, Now I want to see it pick up the image of the racist calling me \u201cMONO HIJO DE PUTA\u201d (monkey motherf***er). That\u2019s what I want to see. And then?,\u201d he tweeted.<\/p>\n
\u201cI do a rainbow flick, you punish me .. For a slap, I get sent off \u2026 what about them? What then?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2018My only regret is not hitting that a*****e in the face,\u2019 tweeted Neymar earlier.<\/p>\n
Marseille boss Andre Villas-Boas did not confirm Neymar\u2019s racism claim when questioned post-game but admitted:<\/p>\n
\u201cRacism is unacceptable in football.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gonzalez himself also took to social media to defend himself with his statement coming before the Neymar\u2019s allegations in response to the Marseille star\u2019s online defence of himself.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is no place for racism. A clean career and with many team-mates and friends on a day to day basis. Sometimes you have to learn how to lose and accept it on the field. Incredible three points today, Allez l\u2019OM thank you family,\u201d he tweeted.<\/p>\n
It is the first time since the 1984-85 season that PSG lost their first two Ligue One matches.<\/p>\n
Layvin Kurzawa and Leandro Paredes were given red cards along with Neymar for PSG while Marseille\u2019s Jordan Amavi and Dario Benedetto were also given their marching orders.<\/p>\n
