The anticipation is that by Friday evening the football world will know one way or the other whether the quintessential Catalonian icon will still be wearing the Blaugrana colors in 2020\/21 or not, because as Spanish football journalist, Guillem Balague, notes that the player\u2019s representatives will be releasing an immediate statement.<\/p>\n
Ahead of that, and definitely not by coincidence, it\u2019s believed that Luis Suarez could also end up staying at the club if Messi decides on seeing out the final year of his contract at the club.<\/p>\n
Corriere dello Sport, cited by MARCA, say that Messi\u2019s dad and agent, Jorge Messi, has specifically requested that the Uruguayan be allowed to remain at the Camp Nou as part of any deal to keep his son there.<\/p>\n
