UEFA will decide next week on how to resume Champions League and Europa League current campaign.<\/p>\n
In a statement, UEFA executive committee would meet in a video conference on June 17 where the agenda would include \u201cround of 16 and related determinations\u201d for both competitions.<\/p>\n
The meeting will also discuss schedule and venues for the Euro 2020 tournament, which has been postponed until 2021, and the dates for the playoff matches.<\/p>\n
These could include playing the remaining stages of each competition in a single venue and reducing the quarter-final and semi-final to only one match decider.<\/p>\n
Champions League final was originally scheduled to be played in Istanbul while the Europa League will be played in Gdansk, Poland.<\/p>\n
However, since last month UEFA has been looking at various options to complete the season.<\/p>\n
This is confirmed by the mayor of Madrid who said there are talks about hosting the Champions League final, instead of Istanbul.<\/p>\n
There are still four games remaining in the second leg of Champions League round of 16 while Atletico Madrid, PSG, Atalanta and RB Leipzig have already booked their places in the last eight.<\/p>\n
In the Europa League, there are two round of 16 first leg games that needs to be played including all second legs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
