FIFA has officially allow leagues to open their transfer windows before the current season ends, after it was delayed for three months due to coronavirus.<\/p>\n
This means, clubs can sign new players right away and players are allowed to join new clubs.<\/p>\n
However, clubs will not be able to field new signings until the next season begins and this include free agents.<\/p>\n
The decision also forced Premier League and La Liga to reconsider their current standpoint, as they plan to open summer transfer window only the season has been completed.<\/p>\n
FIFA has also called on clubs to offer contract extension to the players, as many of their contract typically expire on Jun 30, several weeks before the season ends.<\/p>\n
Besides that, players who have signed pre-contract agreements to join new clubs on Jul 1 be allowed to stay at their current clubs until the season ends.<\/p>\n
