With the Premier League possibly set to return on 12 June or 19 June, the long-anticipated restart of the season would understandably be particularly poignant for Liverpool supporters.<\/p>\n
The Reds are just six points, or two games, away from winning the domestic title, but\u00a0could possibly achieve their dreams by winning their re-opening fixture if Manchester City were to end up losing theirs.<\/p>\n
This news of the Premier League\u2019s restart comes from the Daily Mail with a suggestion of Manchester United v Tottenham being the first game back.<\/p>\n
The same report alleges that ten games will be played over the first long-weekend back, with one game on Friday, four on both Saturday and Sunday and the final one on Monday night.<\/p>\n
These fixtures are said to all have their own time-slot, in what sounds like a dream for football fans who\u2019ve been starved of any Premier League action for the best part of two months now.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s of course open to conjecture how the teams are going to perform when they\u2019re back in action as training has only just started to trickle in.<\/p>\n
For Liverpool, that could be a good thing as they had suffered three rare defeats just before the suspension, going out of the FA Cup and the Champions League in the process.<\/p>\n
