One of the bizarre moment in Bundesliga as Augsburg coach Heiko Herrlich has been banned from match this week after breaking quarantine rules to go and buy a tube of toothpaste.<\/p>\n
The 48-year-old Herrlich was supposed to made his debut as coach tomorrow against Wolfsburg but he admitted that he made a huge mistake.<\/p>\n
\u201cI made a mistake by leaving the hotel,\u201d admitted Herrlich who said he went to a supermarket to buy toothpaste and skin cream.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn this situation, I didn\u2019t live up to my position as a role model for my team and the public.\u201d<\/p>\n
A bigger reason why Herrlich was banned, is because he is a brain tumour patient.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m a risk patient, to be precise. I made a mistake by leaving the hotel. Even if I have followed all hygiene measures both when leaving the hotel and otherwise, I cannot undo this.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause of this misconduct, I will not be leading the training and will not be in charge of the team against Wolfsburg on Saturday.\u201d<\/p>\n
