While there\u2019s been nothing officially confirmed yet, there has been serious talk for some time of the Bundesliga returning to action this month, and this reportedly looks set to get approval from the German government.<\/p>\n
According to the Daily Mail, Chancellor Angela Merkel is expected to give the official green light for the German top flight to get back into action again on May 15th.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a given that this would be a rather kind of different treatment and approach from the kind of football we\u2019ve gotten used to, with strict safety measures securely in place, and of course, empty stadiums for possibly quite some time.<\/p>\n
Regardless, for the millions of us irretrievably stuck at home, just the sheer thought of having the chance to enjoy watching some football on our TV monitors is luxurious indulgence itself, something many would have doubted was possible not so long ago.<\/p>\n
It is indeed noteworthy that Germany has, to its laudable credit, coped better than many countries in their handling of the coronavirus pandemic, and now looks set to ease their lockdown restrictions.<\/p>\n
