A football fan provided one of the most incredible story this month when he send his own money to save his beloved club Plymouth Argyle from extinction.<\/p>\n
Kasra Sherell, 10, found out that his club is facing financial crisis and trying to crowdfund with at least \u00a350,000. That is when he decided to help out.<\/p>\n
His support to the club is unquestionable. Kasra was one of the mascot on his last visit to Home Park, when Ryan Lowe\u2019s side beat Leyton Orient in the Carbao Cup first round, back in August last year.<\/p>\n
Plymouth chairman, Simon Hallett received a letter from Kasra, along with a \u00a310 note.<\/p>\n
\u201cDear Simon. I read the note that you wrote on Thursday, April 23, 2020. I read that the club is going to have some financial difficulties. I wondered if I could help. I hope this does the club some good. I hope that we all come through this crisis very soon, I can\u2019t wait for the Green Army to set sail once again.<\/p>\n
\u201cHope you and your family are well. Sincerely, An Argyle fan.\u201d<\/p>\n
Coincidentally, Kasra\u2019s father Matt Sherrell used to play football with former Plymouth striker Mickey Evans.<\/p>\n
\u201cI read and appreciated the \u2018Note from the Chairman\u2019 on the PAFC website, and shared it with my wife and three children, who I knew would be interested,\u201d Matt said.<\/p>\n
\u201cTwo hours later I found a letter on my bedside table, ready for posting, together with an envelope containing his pocket money. He had obviously raided his piggy bank!<\/p>\n
\u201cI believe he got Simon\u2019s address from looking him up on the internet and using his company\u2019s website. Kas had read about football clubs potentially having financial difficulties, and wanted to help Argyle out during its hour of need.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite currently living in New York, Kasra has never forgotten his beloved club and as a fan, he did exactly what a fan should do. Supporting through thick and thin, for the survival of his club.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
