Barcelona have made a surprise decision to end the negotiations with Valencia to sign Spanish forward Rodrigo Moreno, Catalan media reports.<\/p>\n
During the talks, Barcelona want to sign the 28-year-old for a a six-month loan deal with no obligation to make the deal permanent in the summer, just enough time for Luis Suarez to recover from injury.<\/p>\n
But Valencia want Barcelona to pay \u20ac60 million for the player.<\/p>\n
As a replacement, super agent Jorge Mendes offers Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes to Barcelona who will then go on loan to Valencia.<\/p>\n
That offer tempted Valencia and Rodrigo would have been free to move to the Camp Nou on loan.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately the Portuguese midfielder is now close to joining Manchester United with a fee around \u20ac80m.<\/p>\n
Barcelona finally decided to end the negotiations since Valencia are unwilling to let their striker leave for only a loan fee in the middle of the season and Barca not prepared to pay \u20ac60m for a player who is only a short-term replacement<\/p>\n
