Patrice Evra inflicts more pain on Manchester City after Champions League loss

The Citizens lost the UEFA Champions League final 1-0 to Chelsea this past Saturday and Man United legend Patrice Evra has taken delight to rub salt into the Etihad squad’s wounds.

Kai Havertz scored the only goal of the game as City’s star-studded lineup failed to impress, and, as a Red Devils’ diehard, Evra seems to be delighted that his “noisy neighbors” have failed to wrest the European top honors.

In a video on his social media platform, the former United player can be seen in his car wearing a wig that mirrors Gallagher’s ‘Mod’ hairstyle while singing his own version of the well-known Oasis song Wonderwall.

He says, “Liam: where are you?

“You remember when you were laughing at me when United lost? Now it’s your turn. Don’t be jealous.

“I just want to say this is a special Monday for you, Liam, and stop saying Manchester is blue. I’ve got more trophies than your entire club!”

“And sorry for the remix, it’s time: ‘I said maybe, you’re going to win it when I’m 90! And after all, you’re my noisy neighbor!”

He finished his video with his favorite chant, “I love this game!”

Evra had previously enjoyed European success with United in 2008 by defeating Chelsea on penalties.

This is the second time in as many days when the former French international has taken a dig against the cross-town rivals. Yesterday, he shared a Photoshop-retouched image with Sir Bobby Charlton holding the Champions League trophy.

It has been a tough end to the season for United supporters where they saw their team losing to Villarreal in the Europa League finals.

However, they will be rejoicing seeing one of their legendary players mocking City in this fashion.
