The Magpies £300million takeover bid by the Saudis are now in the last stage of administrative justification and if the deal is approved by the Premier League as hoped would bring an end to Mike Ashley’s controversial reign as the club’s owner.
The Newcastle deal will see PIF own 80% of the club with British billionaire brothers Simon and David Reuben taking a 10% stake, with Amanda Staveley taking the remaining 10%.
It could be shocking news that would rock the boat for England’s top-six clubs, with the proposed PIF takeover set to make Newcastle the most wealthy club in the Premier League, effectively knocking Manchester City off the top spot.
A Premier League table has been compiled according to the wealth of each club’s owners. Here’s where each side would rank if the Newcastle takeover went ahead.
