Ekaterinburg has the third largest number of diplomatic missions in the country (after Moscow and St Petersburg).<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"dcm-articletitle\">Ekaterinburg Arena<\/h1>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-839\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/qwmfhwry65bhnowuu792-730x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"164\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>History<\/strong><br \/>\nHome to one of the country&#8217;s oldest football clubs, FC Ural, the stadium was built in 1953. Since then, it has been refurbished on a number of occasions. The last of these refits has been made for the 2018 FIFA World Cup\u2122. On each occasion, however, the stadium&#8217;s historical fa\u00e7ade remained untouched, as an architectural legacy. Architectural and decorative features typical of Soviet neo-Classicism were used lavishly in the construction of the stands, along with decorative art in the form of sculptures, vases and banners.<\/p>\n<p>Stadium capacity: 35,000<\/p>\n<p>Ekaterinburg Arena to host matches in Groups A, C, F and H<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"popup__title\">Eco-Industrial Technopark &#8220;Old Demidovsky Factory&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-840\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"633\" height=\"380\" srcset=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/1-1.jpg 633w, https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/1-1-350x210.jpg 350w, https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/1-1-560x336.jpg 560w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 633px) 100vw, 633px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The road from Nevyansk to Nizhny Tagil takes about an hour. At Nizhny Tagil you will find Russia&#8217;s first factory museum dedicated to black metal tail and its development \u2013 the Nizhny Tagil Metallurgic Ironworks that operated (with various transformations along the way) from 1725 to 1987. Large industrial monuments dating back to the 18th, 19th and mid-20th centuries can be found on the premises along with more than 300 items of machinery.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"popup__title\">Leaning Tower of Nevyansk<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-841\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_7810-_1_.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"633\" height=\"380\" srcset=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_7810-_1_.jpg 633w, https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_7810-_1_-350x210.jpg 350w, https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_7810-_1_-560x336.jpg 560w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 633px) 100vw, 633px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>An hour&#8217;s drive from Ekaterinburg towards Nizhny Tagil is the town of Nevyansk. This town played a key role in the 18th and 19th centuries as part of an industrial empire belonging to the Demidovs, an influential Russian dynasty.<\/p>\n<p>The city&#8217;s principal landmark is the 57.5-metre (189-foot) Leaning Tower of Nevyansk, built in the first half of the 18th century at the behest of Akinfiy Demidov, a renowned Russian industrialist. The tower housed various official entities, including the Treasury, the Chancellery and the local prison. Legend has it that in the cellar below the tower Demidov had workers toiling to mint false coins that were indistinguishable from the genuine article. Rumours of his activity reached the imperial court and Akinfiy Demidov, on learning of the imminent inspection, ordered the basement flooded with the workers still in it.<\/p>\n<p>One of the tower&#8217;s features is its &#8220;acoustic room&#8221; with unusual properties. Standing in one corner of the room you can hear sounds coming from the opposite corner which are inaudible from any other point in the room.<\/p>\n<p>The Leaning Tower of Nevyansk also has a unique English clock that cost Demidov more than the construction of the whole tower. The chime mechanism plays 18 different melodies eight times a day, while ten bells mark every quarter of an hour.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"popup__title\">Communication House\/Central Post Office<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-842\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_1487.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"633\" height=\"380\" srcset=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_1487.jpg 633w, https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_1487-350x210.jpg 350w, https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_1487-560x336.jpg 560w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 633px) 100vw, 633px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Communication House was built in 1934 on the place, where two merchant mansions were situated. The author of the project was the Moscow architect Konstantin Solomonov.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the automatic phone station for 10,000 numbers in 1934 connection emerged in the biggest organizations in Sverdlovsk and the houses of the city, which were located in the city centre. The building as other historical monuments of avant-garde architecture, is characterized with strict lines, ribbon glass windows, ascetism.<\/p>\n<p>Today in the Communication House the Central Post Office is located, while nearby there is the zero kilometre \u2013 the point of reference, which shows the distance from Ekaterinburg to other cities. For the visitors during the day the first two floors are available, you can send a postcard or a parcel.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"popup__title\">Sevastyanov&#8217;s House<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-843\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_7195.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"633\" height=\"380\" srcset=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_7195.jpg 633w, https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_7195-350x210.jpg 350w, https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_7195-560x336.jpg 560w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 633px) 100vw, 633px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next to the Residence of the Governor of Sverdlovsk Oblast is the most elegant building in the Urals Region \u2013 the Sevastyanov&#8217;s House. Local official Nikolay Sevastyanov, who made his fortune from mining, bought the house in 1860. In 1863, he commissioned its reconstruction by Alexander Paduchev, a student of architect Malakhov. The experts say that the resulting building was a mix of styles and ages, with elements of the Neo-Baroque, Pseudo-Gothic and Neo-Moorish styles. In Soviet times, the building was home to the regional labour union council. In 2008, the building was restored and today serves as the Ekaterinburg reception house and residence for the President of Russia; international meetings and summits are held here.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"popup__title\">Slanted House<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-844\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_2477.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"633\" height=\"380\" srcset=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_2477.jpg 633w, https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_2477-350x210.jpg 350w, https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/india\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2018\/06\/sor_2477-560x336.jpg 560w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 633px) 100vw, 633px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Not far from the monument to The Beatles is the Slanted House, a Chuvildin&#8217;s tenement house constructed in 1900.
