Asian powerhouse Iran announced their\u00a0arrival on the scene with a resounding 14-0 hammering of Turkmenistan in their opening game on Thursday.The defending champions opened the scoring with just seven-seconds into the game as\u00a0Fatemeh Etedad opened the scoring signalling a long night for Turkmenistan.<\/p>\n
The goals kept coming thick and fast as Iran dominated the possession spreading the attack and distributing the passes all around the pitch.Iran went into the break with an 8-0 lead as normal service resumed soon after the break as\u00a0Fareshteh Karimi completed her hattrick\u00a0three minutes into the second half.<\/p>\n
Iran continued their\u00a0domination deep into the game as goals from\u00a0Arezoo Sadaghianizadeh,\u00a0Sara Shirbeigi,\u00a0Fatemeh Etedadi and Zarei in the second half subjected Turkmenistan to a 14-0 annihilation.<\/p>\n
