Following our Top 10 Asian Players in Europe (Part 1, Part 2), we are excited to announce the second part of the inaugural\u00a0Football Tribe Awards<\/strong>: the Top 20 SEA Players!<\/p>\n

These rankings were made with extensive input from Football Tribe’s SEA editions in Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand.<\/p>\n

At the tender age of 23, Davies has already developed himself as one of the finest full-backs in the country. The half-Australian player skippered Pahang to second place on the MSL league table, in addition to helping them reach the Malaysia Cup final. He was also a part of the Malaysian U-23 team that made the SEA Games final in August. <\/span><\/p>\n

After leaving Germany in April, veteran midfielder Schrock returned to Ceres and picked up where he left off in 2016 by scoring goals and being a dominant force for the Filipino side in midfield. He was easily one of Ceres’ most important players in a hugely successful year during which they won the Philippines Football League and went deep into the knockout stage of the AFC Cup.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old he contributed a lot to Ha Noi FC’s V.League campaign, with seven assists in the league. His two goals for Vietnam’s national team helped them qualify for the Asian Cup 2019 and he is sure to be marked as one of the side’s key players for that tournament as well as the upcoming AFF Suzuki Cup.<\/span><\/p>\n

Iain Ramsay was a huge fulcrum in what has been an immensely successful year for Ceres Negros, and at no point was that clearer than in the Philippines Football League Final when he scored a hat-trick to help his side claim the title over Global FC. As team captain, Ramsay was ever-present throughout the year, contributing to their zonal championship in the AFC Cup.<\/span><\/p>\n

Andritany Ardhiyasa’s performances between the posts were well above expectations this year.\u00a0In a team consisting of many veteran players, he confidently managed his back line, contributing to a side that conceded a league-best 24 goals in 34 games.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Thitipan came back after an injured spell to put in excellent performances for both Thailand’s national team as well as Chiang Rai United in a breakout season. The 24-year-old scored five goals in 30 appearances, helping the team win their first-ever trophy in the form of the FA Cup. The midfielder is expected to get plenty of attention when Chiang Rai make their AFC Champions League debut in 2018.<\/p>\n

Song Lam Nghe An’s key man netted eight goals in all competitions as well as five assists, helping the side secure their first Vietnamese Cup trophy in six years.<\/p>\n

Baddrol Bakhtiar was hugely influential in what was a rather topsy-turvy season for Kedah. He scored 12 goals in all competitions and even helped Kedah win the Malaysia FA Cup, a victory that would have placed them in next season’s AFC Cup if it didn’t later come to light that the team lacks the necessary AFC License. Baddrol was also a mainstay in Malaysia’s national team.<\/span><\/p>\n

2017 was a rebound year for the winger, who returned to his native Indonesia for the first time since 2013. After three fruitless years in Japan Irfan still proved he can perform, notching nine goals and 10 assists for Bali United. His selfless play and good attitude made him a fan favorite as he steered the side to a runners-up finish in the Liga 1.<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old arrived at FC Tokyo in a mid-loan from Bangkok United as a result of a partnership between the two clubs. Jakkit went on prove himself in the J3 League for Tokyo’s U-23 side, making 11 appearances and becoming the first Thai player to record a goal in a J.League match when he scored just 22 seconds into the team’s season finale earlier this month.<\/p>\n
