In yesterday’s meeting\u00a0at Jalan Besar Stadium, president Lim announced that the Singapore football governing body would restrict the\u00a0average age of players with Under-23 quotas, while implementing the frequent test to evaluate the players’ fitness.<\/p>\n
“The threat of going semi-pro was very real,” Lim urged\u00a0officials, coaches and players to be more professional in their mindsets, as reported by The Straits Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n “The clubs must be more professional, the mindset of the management has to change if we are to play entertaining and fast-moving football, which is the name of the game now.<\/p>\n “No development means no future.
