Paulo Bento has been appointed as the new head coach of Chinese Super League club Chongqing Lifan.<\/p>\n
The 48-year-old tactician replaced South Korean coach Chang Woe-Ryong, who left the club on Sunday by mutual consent.<\/p>\n
“I was attracted to the long-term project that the club are implementing. It is also a great chance to understand a new country and a new culture,” said Bento in his first press conference on Monday.<\/p>\n
“The CSL have made major progress in the last two years, I am honoured to take this opportunity to come to China.<\/p>\n
“The fans are the most important, that’s who we’re out there fighting for. We will bring the greatest happiness to our fans with the best attitude and best performance.”<\/p>\n
