Chonburi FC\u00a0are to appoint Japanese Takashi Sekizuka as the new head coach of the club, according to reports from Thailand.<\/p>\n

Chonburi FC technical director Withaya Laohakul told the THSPORT<\/a> on Sunday that the club would announce the signing with Sekizuka in the next 2 or 3 days.<\/p>\n

“From the list of candidates, we have chosen Takashi Sekizuka and offered him a contract,” Withaya said.<\/p>\n

“We have not agreed to the contract but can decide it in the next 2 to 3 days. We will announce it soon.”<\/div>\n

Sekizuka has been a familiar face to Japan football scene. After retiring from playing football, he rose to become one of the most famous consultants in Japanese leagues.<\/div>\n

Taking over the coaching job at Kawasaki Frontale<\/a> in 2004, the 57-year-old guided the club to win the J2 League title.<\/div>\n
