{"id":8940,"date":"2017-11-22T00:46:11","date_gmt":"2017-11-21T15:46:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/?p=8940"},"modified":"2017-11-24T23:19:21","modified_gmt":"2017-11-24T14:19:21","slug":"kedah-not-eligible-compete-next-years-afc-cup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/2017\/11\/22\/kedah-not-eligible-compete-next-years-afc-cup\/","title":{"rendered":"Kedah not eligible to participate next year&#8217;s AFC Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/2017\/09\/20\/malaysia-fa-president-announces-major-changes-super-league\/\">Football Association of Malaysia (FAM)<\/a> confirmed that\u00a0Kedah would not play in\u00a0next year&#8217;s AFC Cup.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/fam.org.my\/news\/kenyataan-bersama-daripada-fam-dan-fmllp-berhubung-isu-pelesenan-kelab\">In a joint statement<\/a> with the Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) yesterday, FAM secretary-general Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin said that the club failed to meet the deadline to obtain the required license.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With regards to Kedah, it is very clear that only clubs which fulfill the criteria set out in the regulations at the deadlines defend by FAM will be granted a license [AFC and National],&#8221; the FAM statement said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;At this date, Kedah was not able to submit their audited account which is a mandatory criteria.
