Watanya Wongopasi has resigned as Thailand U-23 team manager following the meeting with Football Association of Thailand (FAT) president Pol Gen Somyot Poompunmuang at the association’s headquarters on Friday.<\/p>\n
Wantanya, better known as “Madame Dear”, decided to step down to allow the FAT to\u00a0end the tradition of appointing non-technical officials to the helm of the country’s squads.<\/p>\n
“It was an honor for me to be appointed the manager of a very talented squad,\u201d the \u201cIron Lady\u201d of Thai football said, as quoted by Bangkok Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n “For the past one year, I worked very hard as the team manager.
