Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) president Edy Rahmayadi suggested that Indonesia performed better that Thailand despite recorded a 1-1 draw in the opening game of 2017 SEA Games.<\/p>\n
Thailand opened the score early in the first half after a mistake by Persiba Balikpapan goalkeeper Kartika Ajie.<\/p>\n
But, Indonesia responded in a good display in the second half and dominated the game until Septian David Maulana scored the equaliser from the spot.<\/p>\n
“The result is 1-1 but if we saw the game I think we performed better. I don’t explain (the opinion) in an analysis version,” Edy told reporters.<\/p>\n
Edy also hoped that the Young Garuda could get three points from Philippines game on August 17, in the same day when Indonesian celebrate Independence Day.<\/p>\n
