Congolese striker Patrick N’Koyi feared for his career after feeling like he had been “held prisoner” by a club in Thailand when he went on trial in the country.<\/p>\n
N’Koyi left Dutch club MVV Maastricht last season, and he was tempted by an offer to make the move to Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n
\u201cI went to Thailand to have a look at a club but it was very strange,” N’Koyi said, as quoted by The Scottish Sun<\/a>.<\/p>\n “\u201cThey made me do a press conference like I\u2019d already signed. I was only there to see if I liked the club but it was almost as if they were trying to force me to sign,” he added.<\/p>\n When the Congolese footballer was due to fly back home, he found there was no flight booked for him.<\/p>\n \u201cI had a bad feeling about it so I didn\u2019t want to sign, but when I told them after four days I was going home they wouldn\u2019t book a ticket.
