Out of these Asian players, many play in second division leagues of Europe, or European leagues such as Poland, Greece, and Austria, which are not considered the elite European leagues.<\/p>\n<p>At Football Tribe Asia, we focused on performances of 70 Asian players who currently play in top European leagues of England, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands, Russia and Portugal as per UEFA Coefficient rankings of top leagues.<\/p>\n<p>The criteria are to select players who play in the top division of leagues above.<\/p>\n<p>Tracking all 70 players, in the last month of the football season, May, here are top 5 Asian players in elite football leagues based on performance and ratings. Players\u2019 ranking includes considerations such as the number of goals scored, assists, their Pass Accuracy Ratio % and their ratings*.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-mh-magazine-content wp-image-3326\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/05\/Alireza-Jahanbakhsh-678x381.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"678\" height=\"381\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Alireza Jahanbakhsh: <\/strong>The 23-year old Iranian attacking midfielder is plying his trade at the Dutch league side AZ Alkmaar. Alireza has been consistently among top 5 Asian players in the last few months.<\/p>\n<p>In May, he netted 3 goals in 3 games. With passing ratio of 68.8%, his rating stood at 7.36 out of 10 in May. At the end of the season, AZ Alkmaar managed to secure Europa League spot in next year\u2019s competition.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-mh-magazine-content wp-image-4219\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/06\/bullet-678x381.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"678\" height=\"381\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Yuya Osako: <\/strong>The 27-year-old Japanese native fills the role of attacking midfielder at German side, FC Cologne.<\/p>\n<p>Featuring in 2 games in May, he scored a goal and provided an assist in his last match of the season against Mainz 05. With passing ratio of 70.1%, he received a\u00a0rating of 7.4 out of 10.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1462 size-mh-magazine-content\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/02\/502439954-678x381.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"678\" height=\"381\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Keisuke Honda: <\/strong>The 30-year-old Japanese midfielder is a household name in Italy\u2019s Serie A game by now. Featuring for AC Milan through the club\u2019s ups and downs, Honda featured in 2 games in May, netting a goal against Bologna.His passing ratio stands at an impressive rate of 81.3%. Honda\u2019s rating stood at 7.41 out of 10 in May.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2222 size-mh-magazine-content\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/03\/Sardar-Azmoun-678x381.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"678\" height=\"381\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Sardar Azmoun:\u00a0<\/strong>The 22-year-old Iranian striker had an inconsistent performance in the past few months. However, he displayed his best games for the Russian side, Rostov in the closing month of the season. Playing in 4 games for Rostov, he netted 3 goals in 2 matches and was named Man of the Match in two games in May.<\/p>\n<p>Sardar\u2019s passing ratio stands at 59.8%. Also, at the end, Rostov missed out on Europa Cup qualification by 1 point difference only. Sardar Azmoun\u2019s rating stood at 7.57 out of 10 in the month of May.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1953 size-mh-magazine-content\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/03\/652483560-678x381.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"678\" height=\"381\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Son Heung-Min: <\/strong>The 24-year old Korean striker plays for English Premier side Tottenham. In May, Heung-Min was an integral part of Tottenham team as the team secured Champions League qualification and barely missed out on EPL championship. Featuring in 4 games for Tottenham in May, Heung-Min netted 2 goals and provided 2 Assists, while featuring at White Hart Lane\u2019s important victory over Manchester United in early May. With passing ratio of %81, he is among the top in passing aspect.
