Al Nasr have confirmed that Italian Cesare Prandelli is on the verge to become their new manager, replacing Romanian Dan Petrescu.<\/p>\n
Petrescu’s\u00a0seven-month reign ended on Friday with defeat to Al Wahda in the President’s Cup final.<\/p>\n
Prandelli, who guided the Italy national team to a runner-up finish at the 2012 European Championship, will succeed the Romanian.<\/p>\n
“We reached an agreement with Prandelli by 95 percent,” said Nasr chairman\u00a0Humaid Al Tayer following the match at Zayed Sports City.<\/p>\n
“The coach arrives next week to sign the contract and be presented at a press conference.”<\/p>\n
Prandelli, 59, has extensive experience in club football having managed numerous Italian Serie A clubs including Parma, Roma and Fiorentina.<\/p>\n
