Former Werder Bremen forward\u00a0Boubacar Sanogo is set to join Madura United on a permanent basis and could make his debut as soon as this week.<\/p>\n
After a moderate start to the new season of Liga 1, Madura are currently sitting at the 9th place on the table.<\/p>\n
However, with the addition of\u00a0Boubacar Sanogo, the club hopes to improve their front line and league position.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Goal Indonesia<\/em>, Madura manager Haruna Soemitro is confident that the deal is basically done.<\/p>\n “The talks with Boubacar (Sanogo) are final, the registration process has been done last night, just waiting for the medical check-up result to make sure he is with Madura United,” said Haruna Soemitro.<\/p>\n “It’s 99.9 percent Sanogo with this team,”\u00a0he added.<\/p>\n The club president, Achsanul Qosasi confirmed the same\u00a0news and\u00a0expected much from the former Ivory Coast international.<\/span><\/p>\n “Hopefully [he] can adapt quickly to the weather of Indonesia and also with the atmosphere of Indonesian football.<\/p>\n “When he plays against Persija Jakarta later,\u00a0he could prove that he is worthy of Madura United,”\u00a0Achsanul added.<\/p>\n Boubacar Sanogo plied his trade in Germany and France with the likes of\u00a0FC Kaiserslautern,\u00a0Hamburger SV,\u00a0Werder Bremen,\u00a01899 Hoffenheim and AS Saint-\u00c9tienne.<\/p>\n During the summer of 2015, Sanogo signed for Indian Super League side NorthEast United, but he was ruled out for the entirety of the 2015 Indian Super League season after suffering a quadriceps tear in training.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Former Werder Bremen forward\u00a0Boubacar Sanogo is set to join Madura United on a permanent basis and could make his debut as soon as this week.
