Singapore international Hafiz Sujad’s immediate playing future is unknown after his Thai club BBCU made a shock announcement it would be pulling out of the domestic competition.<\/p>\n
The club reportedly made the decision during an annual general meeting with the Football Association of Thailand; however, they are yet to make a statement or reveal the reason.<\/p>\n
The versatile Hafiz, who moved to Thailand from S.League club Tampines Rovers this season, admits this decision caught him unguarded.<\/p>\n
The 26-year-old also said that a return to Singapore is possible.<\/p>\n
“I felt shocked and sad too, because it’s not just the players who have been affected, but the entire team including the staff as well.<\/p>\n
We’re all just waiting for official confirmation now, and I hope it will come in the next few days so that we can move on.<\/p>\n
“When I came to Thailand a few months ago, who would have thought this would happen just a few months later?<\/p>\n
“Nobody could predict this and I guess I’m just unlucky that this happened.<\/p>\n
“There were so many thoughts that were running through my mind after the news broke: What can I do next? Which teams will take me?<\/p>\n
