FK Sarajevo (Bosnia)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Malaysian businessman Vincent Tan purchased the Bosnian club in 2013 for a reported fee of around $2 millions. Under the new owner, FK Sarajevo won the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Cup in 2013\/14 season, ending their 7 years silverware drought.<\/p>\n<p>In the 2014\/15 season, FK Sarajevo entered the Europa League play-off round, and also won the league title for the first time in 8 years.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2767 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/04\/K.V-Kortrijk-Vincent-Tan.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>2.K.V Kortrijk (Belgium)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vincent Tan also purchased Belgian club K.V. Kortrijk for \u20ac 5 million. The club has achieved considerable success in the domestic league\u00a0and is competing for a place in the Europa League next season.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2768\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/04\/Cardiff-City-Vincent-Tan.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"630\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Cardiff City (United Kingdom)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2010, Vincent Tan and his fellow Malaysian Chan Tien Ghee decided to purchased the then-Championship side Cardiff City.<\/p>\n<p>Cardiff City were later promoted to the Premier League in 2013. However, the club was relegated at the end of the 2013\/14 season and is now competing in the Football League Championship.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012, Cardiff changed their home kit colours from the traditional blue, white and yellow to red and black.<\/p>\n<p>The crest was also changed to one in which the Welsh dragon was more prominent than the traditional bluebird. The crest was changed to &#8220;appeal in &#8216;international markets'&#8221;, but\u00a0angered fans, who expressed their opposition in news and social media as well as directly to management.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2769 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/04\/QPR-Tony-Fernandes-1024x686.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"686\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Queens Park Rangers F.C (United Kingdom)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Malaysian billionaire Tony Fernandes purchased 66 percent of QPR\u2019s share from Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone for a rumored fee of \u20a435 million\u00a0and became the English club\u2019s co-chairman in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, QPR had played three seasons in the Premier League\u00a0and is now playing in the Championship.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2770 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/04\/Peter-Lim-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Valencia CF (Spain)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim purchased 70.4 percent of Valencia\u2019s share in May 2014 for \u00a3420 million, making him the owner of the club.<\/p>\n<p>In their first season under the new owner, Valencia finished fourth in the domestic league, allowing them to compete in the Champions League 2015\/16 season.<\/p>\n<p>However, they were knocked out of the Champions league group stage and only managed to reach the semi-finals of the Copa Del Rey.<\/p>\n<p>The real estate tycoon will likely have to inject more cash into the Spanish club in order for them to improve on their table position.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2772 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/04\/Vichai-Srivaddhanaprabha-Leicester.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/04\/Vichai-Srivaddhanaprabha-Leicester.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/04\/Vichai-Srivaddhanaprabha-Leicester-800x450.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Leicester City (United Kingdom)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Leicester City pulled a surprise when they won the Premier League last season and are competing in the quarter-final of the Champions League\u00a0this season.<\/p>\n<p>Thai billionaire Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has contributed a key part in the team\u2019s success, after becoming the main shareholder of the club in 2011, where they were still competing in the Football League Championship.<\/p>\n<p>With silverware in the bag and a spot in Europe this season, Srivaddhanaprabha is sitting as one of English football\u2019s most successful owners.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2773\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/04\/Narin-Niruttinanon-Reading-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Sheffield Wednesday (United Kingdom)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Another Championship club whose owner is a Thai billionaire. Inter Milan (Italy)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In November 2013, after two months of negotiation, Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir became the owner of the Italian club, having purchased 70 percent of share from former boss Massimo Moratti.<\/p>\n<p>However, in June 2016, Thohir sold part of his stake at Inter Milan to Chinese company Suning Holdings Group, which was chaired by billionaire Zhang Jidong.
