Paul Pogba\u2019s future at Old Trafford looks to be in doubt as the midfielder entered the final year of his contract, and his agent Mino Raiola is said to have opened talks with Paris St-Germain.<\/p>\n
Raiola is reportedly in talks with Parc des Princes club Paris Saint-Germain over a potential summer move amid doubts over his client\u2019s future at Manchester United as Pogba, 28, has entered the final year of his \u00a3290,000-a-week United contract with no obvious overtures made on an extension so far.<\/p>\n
The way things are progressing, he will be able to begin negotiating a free transfer at the turn of the year, which would then go through upon the expiry of his contract next summer.<\/p>\n
United are now left with a crucial decision to make in this transfer window \u2013 either cash in on the France midfielder while they still can or risk losing him for nothing in 12 months\u2019 time.<\/p>\n
PSG are reportedly putting pressure on the United top brass to pick the former option, with the French club confident of prising Pogba away from Old Trafford for less than half the \u00a389million he cost United in 2016.<\/p>\n
The Parisien club believe the Red Devils would be willing to sell the French midfielder for around \u00a343million and have allegedly opened negotiations with Raiola over personal terms, although there has been no contact officially between the two clubs yet.<\/p>\n
Italian outlet Calciomercato reported earlier this month that Pogba, who was born in Paris, \u2018likes\u2019 the idea of a potential switch to the Parc des Princes.<\/p>\n
PSG are currently undergoing a squad revamp in the French capital under Mauricio Pochettino this summer, having already snapped up Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georginio Wijnaldum and Sergio Ramos on free transfers.<\/p>\n
They also dished out \u00a354million to sign Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan, and are hoping to entice Pogba to join PSG to enhance their chances of finally winning the Champions League.<\/p>\n
The United ace told reporters ahead of Euro 2020: \u201cI have one year left on my contract, everybody knows it. I know that the club is \u2026 well there has not been yet a concrete offer.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt has not been done. We finished the season with the Europa League then we went on holidays.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, I didn\u2019t sit down with Ed Woodward and the manager. We haven\u2019t spoken and of course, I am still at Manchester United.\u201d<\/p>\n
