AC Milan have confirmed the signing of French dynamo Olivier Giroud on a permanent basis from Chelsea.<\/p>\n
Fresh from the recent Euro 2020, the evergreen France striker \u2013 who scored 39 goals in 119 appearances for the Blues, winning the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup \u2013 has signed a two year deal worth \u00a31million and will be handed the No 9 jersey in Italy plus an extra \u00a31m in\u00a0bonuses subject to a number of appearances and qualification for the Champions League.<\/p>\n
The announcement came after Giroud completed his medical at Milan\u2019s La Madonnina clinic on Friday morning, immediately after which the striker took to Twitter to thank Chelsea for the \u2018special moments\u2019 he experienced at the club and express his excitement over his \u2018new journey\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo all the Blues, to my teammates, to all my coaches, to the whole club, a huge thank you for these special moments,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m starting a new journey with a light and happy heart. Our victories in FA Cup, Europa League and Champions League have been magnificent.\u201d<\/p>\n
