United went all out in their relentless pursuit of Sancho last summer but were priced out for his signature as the German outfit refused to budge on his price and transfer deadline and the former failed to complete a transfer before they returned for pre-season.<\/p>\n
But the Red Devils seem to be given a clear shot at landing the England international, with German publication BILD reporting this upcoming window will be Dortmund\u2019s \u2018final goodbye\u2019 to Sancho.<\/p>\n
The German outfit wanted upwards of \u00a3100m for Sancho last summer but are now reportedly willing to to settle for around \u00a375m for his signature, as it is claimed that Dortmund chiefs would rather offload Sancho instead of selling Norway sensation Erling Haaland.<\/p>\n
Haaland has already been dominating the headlines the last two seasons with a host of Europe\u2019s biggest clubs eagerly vying for his signature, thanks to his scintillating form since joining Dortmund.<\/p>\n
The transfer banter also has it that Dortmund have reportedly already lined up Lille\u2019s Ligue 1 Jonathan Ikone as the replacement for 21-year-old Sancho while United may be expected to face competition for Sancho\u2019s services from Premier League rivals Chelsea, whom the Sun claim are looking to be in pole position to grab Sancho by preparing an \u00a380m offer for the England star as Blues manager Thomas Tuchel is a \u2018huge admirer\u2019 of the former Manchester City youth star.<\/p>\n
After the long-wrangled move to United failed to come to fruition last summer, Sancho\u2019s performance dipped considerably as he endured a slow start to the new campaign in the Bundesliga. However he has since rediscovered his form which had previously gotten him rave reviews, bagging16 goals and 21 assists in 38 games across all competitions for Dortmund this season.<\/p>\n
Sancho is also expected to be named in Gareth Southgate\u2019s provisional England squad for the Euros this summer following an impressive end to the season in Germany.<\/p>\n
Sportsmail understands that the forward was facing the prospect of missing out earlier this year after a slump in form but his promising end to the season looks to have salvaged his Euro hopes.<\/p>\n
