Journalist Nicolo Schira had earlier claimed on Twitter that Juve\u2019s management was considering selling the forward because he costs the club \u20ac31million a year, while the media later suggested that the five-time Ballon d\u2019Or winner could be sold for \u20ac60 million. And according to Gigli, it was all \u201cup to Juventus\u201d now.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019ve been paying him \u20ac1 million per goal,\u201d the former president claimed.<\/p>\n
In 2018, Ronaldo\u2019s transfer from Real Madrid cost the Bianconeri a staggering \u20ac100 million, plus additional fees that totalled several million. The striker\u2019s price tag was the heftiest ever paid for a footballer over the age of 30.<\/p>\n
Ronaldo has amassed 92 goals in 121 appearance for Juve, but so far hasn\u2019t been able to attain Champions League honors with the club \u2013 which it so badly craves.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, the Old Lady lost to FC Porto on away goals in the last 16 with Ronaldo\u2019s name missing on the scoresheet.<\/p>\n
