The football world is keeping a keen eye on Kylian Mbappe as he sparks a \u00a3400MILLION bidding war between the Manchester giants, Liverpool and Real Madrid.<\/p>\n
French superstar Mbappe is understood to have given Paris Saint-Germain notice that he intends to leave at the end of this season, which means that with two years left on his contract by then, PSG will expect to get \u00a3300m for him should they chose not to stand in the way.<\/p>\n
Mbappe is now on \u00a315m a year and will expect to see that huge salary rise by at least another \u00a35m when he moves next season and any club that plans to sign him will want his signature on a five-year deal which will mean a total of \u00a3100m in wages plus almost double the \u00a3165m PSG paid Monaco for him in 2018. Staggering figures, to say the least.<\/p>\n
City, United and Real will not baulk at such a staggering outlay, although Liverpool\u2019s owners FSG could possibly blink at this as the Premier League champions may have spent \u00a3310m on a collection of stars between 2017 and 2018 in total.<\/p>\n
But over the last 12 months the the Reds\u2019 American owners have brought in players worth just over \u00a320m and over the same time scale have made a net profit on deals of \u00a332m.<\/p>\n
Going for Mbappe would require the sale of one of their Fabulous Fab three of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.<\/p>\n
Senegalese frontman Mane would be the most likely to go if he asked for a move and has so far ignored Liverpool\u2019s effort to get him to extend his stay for two years beyond 2023.<\/p>\n
Real would love to have him \u2013 as they would Mbappe \u2013 and he would command a fee of \u00a3150m.<\/p>\n
City came close to landing world No 1 Lionel Messi before he withdrew plans to leave Barcelona last month and were prepared to pay him \u00a3600,000 a week and with their unlimited resources would see Mbappe as another way of elevating their standing in world football.<\/p>\n
Similarly Manchester United would believe that regardless of the outlay, Mbappe\u2019s presence would only increase their global pull.<\/p>\n
However, what is in Liverpool\u2019s favour is Mbappe\u2019s connection with boss Jurgen Klopp as the Anfield boss spent several hours trying to convince him to sign for Liverpool before he opted for PSG.<\/p>\n
The German said:<\/p>\n
\u201cI love him, to be honest. What a player, what a player \u2013 he is and a nice lad as well, so he\u2019s a really good kid.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mbappe, who is understood to have been \u201ccharmed\u201d by Klopp, declared Liverpool as a \u201cmachine\u201d in May as they powered their way to the club\u2019s first top flight title in 30 years.<\/p>\n
Despite that, it is understood he also likes the idea of playing at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n
Pep Guardiola, having lost out on Messi, will be certain to want to have a conversation with him \u2013 as will Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu.<\/p>\n
Real believe they had signed him before his switch to PSG and are certain to be jostling in the queue this time around.<\/p>\n
But this time alongside a trio of heavy-hitting English clubs with the only thing likely to affect such a potential huge spend to get him to the Premier League how deep the coronavirus pandemic bites into their finances.<\/p>\n
