Prachuap have added an exciting attacking talent to their roster, sealing a deal for former Trat FC forward Adefolarin Durosinmi one month ahead of the Thai League restart\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

After parting ways with Trat FC due to budget cuts resulting from COVID-19, the Nigerian forward has swapped East for West by joining Prachuap FC. The 2019 Thai League Cup winners have established themselves as a solid top-flight side after two years in T1, and are looking to strengthen their position even further.<\/p>\n

“They are a good team in the top tier and I [had] to turn down numerous offer to accept the challenge,” Durosinmi explained about his new club. He further noted that he turned down “bigger offers” from Thai League 2 in order to remain competitive in T1.<\/p>\n

The side, coached by Thawatchai Damrong-Ongtrakul, are known for being one of the most organized in the league, and are notoriously difficult to beat at their seaside Sam Ao stadium. It has only been a few days so far, but Durosinmi is clearly taking a liking to these new surroundings.<\/p>\n

“It has been nice, the players are friendly and I know most of them,” he admits. “The management also have put everything in place to make it easier for me.”<\/p>\n

The attacker is optimistic that the side can build on their league finish of last season, where a lack of cutting edge up front saw them finish ninth. “There are a lot of quality players in the squad who can help win games, so I think [a] top 10 shouldn\u2019t be a problem,” Durosinmi admitted, “although I think we can do more.”<\/p>\n

The side also signed Brazilian William Henrique from Chiangrai United, who was one of the division’s standout performers last season, before the 2020 campaign began. This new invigorated attack will give the side a big boost after chopping and changing their forward line throughout last season.<\/p>\n

After having arguably his best campaign in Thailand last season, the forward is clearly on the up. However, his focus remains on improving the Killer Wasps’ fortunes above all else. “My personal target is to help the team as much as I can to contribute goals and assists,” he explained. “I\u2019m more of a team player so the success of the team is very important.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
