Thailand had an advantage, the pressure isn’t on their shoulder as they try to claim the throne from Vietnam.

Meanwhile, the battle is on for the bronze medal match between Myanmar and the Philippines. Like Vietnam and Thailand, both of them already met in the group stage, and their game ended goalless too. The Malditas will be looking for an additional prize in front of their supporters.

Meanwhile, Myanmar are clearly the most improved team in recent years. They may not compete at a continental level like Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines did in AFC Asian Women’s Cup back in 2018, but in the last SEA Games, they became the best-attacking team as they scored 14 goals and Win Theingi Tun closed the competition as the top scorer with 6 goals.
