Indonesia (1979 FIFA World Youth Championship)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Indonesia were invited to play in the 1979 FIFA World Youth Championship as a replacement for Iraq. The team were in group B of the tournament, along with Yugoslavia, Poland, and Argentina \u2013 which had a young Diego Maradona in its line-up.<\/p>\n<p>The young Garuda suffered three defeats, conceding 16 goals without scoring a single goal at the tournament.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2120 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/03\/THA3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"689\" height=\"436\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Thailand (1997 &amp; 1999 FIFA U-17 World Championship)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thailand qualified for the 1997 FIFA U-17 World Championship as the runners-up of the 1996 U-16 AFC Championship, and again in 1999 as the champions of the 1998 U-16 AFC Championship.<\/p>\n<p>At the 1997 edition of the tournament, Thailand suffered three defeats against Germany, Egypt, and Chile, scoring 4 goals while conceding 12 goals.<\/p>\n<p>The young War Elephants also failed to score a single point in 1999, losing to Ghana, Mexico, and Spain. They scored just one goal and conceded 17 goals in the process.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2127\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/03\/malaysia.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"738\" height=\"543\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Malaysia (1997 FIFA World Youth Championship)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Malaysia hosted the 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship, the tournament where superstars such as Juan Rom\u00e1n Riquelme, David Trezeguet, Michael Owen, Thierry Henry made their names.<\/p>\n<p>On home soil, Malaysia was pitted against Uruguay, Morocco, and Belgium. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the team lost all three matches, scoring just twice and conceded 9 goals.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2128\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/03\/MYA-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Myanmar (2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is the first time Myanmar participated in a youth World Cup tournament. Previously, Myanmar had qualified for the tournament after reaching the 2014 AFC U-19 Championship semi-finals.<\/p>\n<p>Myanmar was pitted against hosts New Zealand, the United States and Ukraine. Vietnam (2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vietnam U19 team has performed superbly at the 2016 AFC U-19 Championship, where they had defied expectations to qualify for the semi-finals.
