This piece looks at the eight teams set to take to the field in tonight&#8217;s action.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-18996\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2562-08-06-at-20.52.26-800x568.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"568\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Ratchaburi FC vs Thai Honda FC<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The idea of Ratchaburi gunning for a trophy this season seemed impossible just a few weeks ago, as they were on an uncomfortable slide towards the relegation zone with a lower points-per-game average than the figure which saw them barely survive last year under coach Marco Simone. However, things have exploded into life in recent weeks. Despite being under caretaker stewardship, the Dragons are looking fierce going forward. Jakkapan Pornsai has been a revelation since rejoining on loan from Bangkok United and is already rocketing up to the top of the Thai League assist charts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A home match against the last remaining T2 side in the competition is surely the best draw for the Dragons, who will be expected to make a semi-final appearance for the third time in four years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-18994\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2562-08-06-at-20.52.47-800x565.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"565\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Trat FC vs Buriram\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trat FC will host Buriram two times in just five days, first in the FA Cup and then in the league. It\u2019s clear that the White Elephants will prioritize Wednesday\u2019s match with nothing left to fight for in T1, and Buriram may opt to sacrifice one domestic trophy with a clear path towards their title defense opening up and their squad wearing thin after lots of travel over the past few weeks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even if Buriram decide to go full strength, they will come up against a sturdy opposition looking to leave a mark after an incredible first season in the top flight. Striker Lonsana Doumbouya caused Buriram plenty of trouble when they met at the Chang Arena earlier in the season, in a game which impressively ended 1-1.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-18995\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2562-08-06-at-20.52.37-800x569.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"569\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Nakhon Ratchasima vs Bangkok United\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The pressure is on as a domestic cup run is needed to distract from Bangkok United\u2019s poor run of results in the league which has seen the title slip further and further out of their reach. A curiously-timed public statement from the board has piled the pressure onto coach Mano Polking, who needs a trophy to show for the great work he has done at that club over the last few years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His counterpart Milos Joksic is under similar pressure, after a slow slide towards the relegation zone has led to fan outrage on social media. With his transition to playing more open and expansive football starting to backfire, we can expect Milos to revert to type against the typically possession-orientated Bangkok United, looking to soak up pressure and steal a goal on the counter despite playing on their home turf.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These two sides recently drew 2-2 in T1 action and both will probably be dreading the timing of this high-stakes cup tie while desperately looking to turn their fortunes around in the league.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-18993\" src=\"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2562-08-06-at-20.52.56-800x573.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"573\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Port FC vs Chiangrai United<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Defending champions Chiangrai United were barely in the conversation for the title just over a month ago, but a 4-1 away win at the PAT Stadium was a statement of intent that catapulted them back into the thick of things at the top of the T1 table. Their ensuing run allowed them to claim top spot, only to lose it over the weekend thanks to a 1-1 draw with Ratchaburi.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Port left that game with a lot of issues to fix, and despite the appointment of a new head coach, they are still left with many of the problems Chiangrai were able to exploit in their previous match on June 30th.
