Italian Serie A side Bologna FC announced the signing of Japan international Takehiro Tomiyasu from Belgian first division side Sint-Truidense.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bologna’s official announcement and press release did not include details of the contract, but various media outlets have reported that the player has signed a 5-year contract, running through until 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The amount that the club will pay at Sint-Truidense is reported to be \u20ac10m, which is broken down into a \u20ac7m initial fee, with add-ons and bonuses totaling \u20ac3m.<\/span><\/p>\n

At age 20, Tomiyasu is one of Japan’s brightest up-and-coming talents. He most recently represented the Samurai Blues at two major tournaments in 2019 – the AFC Asian Cup and the Copa America. The center-back is also expected to be an integral part of the nation’s 2020 Olympic team.<\/p>\n
