Malaysia will not look to rest on their laurels after an impressive first-leg win, said Tan Cheng Hoe ahead of the upcoming match of the World Cup 2022\/Asian Cup 2023 qualifier at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil against Timor Leste.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While Harimau Malaya’s progress looks almost certain after their previous 7-1 win, Cheng Hoe will not change any of the tactics and wants his players to attack from the start of the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We will go down as usual as we play and the importance of players to improve performance and reduce individual errors.<\/span><\/p>\n

“So far I have seen them play well but the main thing is we want to keep the consistency of the game,” he said to the media.<\/span><\/p>\n

In another development, Cheng Hoe confirmed the attacker Syafiq Ahmad was unable to join the team following the Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL) injury he suffered and is expected to rest for a period of two weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Commenting on plans for the second match on Tuesday, Cheng Hoe explained that he has no intention to make wholesale changes to the squad that won in the first leg.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, Cheng Hoe will continue to monitor the situation of his men and will discuss with the coaching staff before deciding who will complete the first eleven.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Any coaches rarely change all players. Maybe I will keep half of the players.<\/span><\/p>\n
