{"id":17743,"date":"2019-06-03T18:17:22","date_gmt":"2019-06-03T09:17:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/?p=17743"},"modified":"2019-06-03T18:17:22","modified_gmt":"2019-06-03T09:17:22","slug":"selangors-farizal-handed-five-game-suspension-for-violent-conduct","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/football-tribe.com\/asia\/2019\/06\/03\/selangors-farizal-handed-five-game-suspension-for-violent-conduct\/","title":{"rendered":"Selangor&#8217;s Farizal Handed Five-Game Suspension for Violent Conduct"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Aiman Nazirmuddin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Football Tribe Malaysia<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selangor goalkeeper Farizal Harun was suspended for five games after he was found guilty of punching PKNP FC player, Mohamad Al Fateh Afandi in the Super League action on May 18.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Baljit Singh Sidhu said the players were also fined RM5,000 after being found to have violated Article 59 of the FAM Disciplinary Code.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;He was sentenced to five games for suspension and a fine of RM5,000 which was required to be settled within 14 working days from the date of receipt of this decision.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;(Farizal) is also warned with a heavier penalty to impose if it repeats the same offense,&#8221; he said in this statement<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The suspension will take place during upcoming Super League games, as Selangor take on Kuala Lumpur on June, Johor Darul Ta&#8217;zim, FELDA United, and Perak.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, Sarawak team officer Hamzah Ibrahim received heavy penalties with a year-long suspension and a fine of RM20,000 for two separate cases.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He is found to have violated Article 59 and Article 62 of the FAM Disciplinary Code as a result of his offensive behavior as well as for threats during and after the match.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first incident occurred in the Premier League match against Sarawak UiTM FC on April 2, and the second against PDRM on April 27, both at the State Stadium in Kuching.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;(First case) Six months suspension of involvement with any football activity including administrative activities, football sports management and all pertaining to it effectively from May 30 to November 29.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;The second case is suspension six months from involvement with football activities including administrative activities, football sports management and related activities with effect from 30 November 2019 until 29 May 2020,&#8221; he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a separate case, the Johor Football Association (PBNJ) was fined RM25,000 as supporters set off firecrackers and rockets before and after the Super League action against Pahang at the Tan Sri Dato &#8216;Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium, Larkin on May 14.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;The Association violated Article 70.1 of the FAM Disciplinary Code due to the support of the supporters who were found to have fired rockets before and during the game,&#8221; he said.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aiman Nazirmuddin Football Tribe Malaysia &nbsp; Selangor goalkeeper Farizal Harun was suspended for five games after he was found guilty of punching PKNP FC player, Mohamad Al Fateh Afandi in the Super League action on May 18.
