Singapore national team head coach V. Sundramoorthy says the Lions are looking for West Asian opponents to play a friendly match on March 23 in Doha, five days ahead of their AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Bahrain.<\/p>\n
“Being able to play us in Doha will be ideal for us as we could cut traveling time to Bahrain to an hour,” V. Sundramoorthy told local newspapers.<\/p>\n
“Bahrain are a strong team, but we believe if we can play well as a team, we can get a positive result to kick-start our campaign”, he added.<\/p>\n
