Iran central defender Roozbeh Cheshmi will miss the World Cup after a tendon strain in the team\u00a0training.<\/p>\n

Cheshmi, who plays in his club Esteghlal as a defensive midfielder, has been Carlos Queiroz<\/a>\u2019s first choice for center of the defense alongside Morteza Pouraliganji.<\/p>\n

He showed a great performance against Morocco and helped Iran to win 1-0 in their first match at the World cup.<\/p>\n
