Hong Kong’s Eastern Sports Club manager, Chan Yuen-ting, is set become the first female coach in history to guide a men’s team in the AFC Champions League when the team kick off their continental campaign against Guangzhou Evergrande on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Last year, Chan Yuen-ting guided Eastern Sports Club to their Hong Kong Premier League title, which earned them a berth in the group stage of the AFC Champions League.<\/p>\n
In the first match of the group stage, the 28-year-old Chan Yuen-ting will take on World Cup winner Luiz Felipe Scolari, who is currently in charge at Guangzhou Evergrande.<\/p>\n
“It’s quite amazing, especially when you watch the games when he was coaching Brazil and they won the World Cup in 2002,” Chan told reporters.<\/p>\n
