West Ham United have appointed Manuel Pellegrini as their new coach, the club announced on Tuesday after concluding negotiations late on the previous night.<\/p>\n
Pellegrini succeeds David Moyes after having left Chinese Super League club Hebei China Fortune<\/a> over the weekend.<\/p>\n The Chilean has reportedly\u00a0signed a three-year deal worth up to \u00a37m a year after meeting with West Ham’s co-owner David Sullivan.<\/p>\n \u201cI am delighted to welcome Manuel Pellegrini to West Ham United. He is one of the world\u2019s most respected football coaches and we look forward to working with him,” David Sullivan told the club’s official website<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was important that we appointed someone with knowledge and experience of the Premier League, who already has an understanding \u2013 not only of the teams and players we face \u2013 but of West Ham United and our ambitions.<\/p>\n \u201cManuel brings a reputation for attacking football and getting the best out of his players.
