Vietnam women’s team earned a 2-1 win over Indonesia to reach\u00a0the semi-finals of the 2018 AFC Women\u2019s Futsal Championship in Thailand on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
This is the fourth consecutive win of Vietnam in a tournament where they failed to win a match three years ago.<\/p>\n
Vietnamese side dominated the game from the very first minute. In the 13th minute, they broke the deadlock with a lovely move, as\u00a0Vo Thi Thuy Trinh\u2019s wonderful backheel opened up the Indonesian defence and allowed Bien Thi Hang to set up Bui Thi Trang.<\/p>\n
After the break, Indonesia fought back to level the score and their efforts were paid off\u00a0within five minutes thanks to an exceptional finish from the outside of Febriana.<\/p>\n
When the regular time came to an end,\u00a0Nguyen Thi Hue scored the precious late goal which decided the contest in the 90+3 minute.<\/p>\n
Indonesia pressed on for the equalizer\u00a0in the dying time but failed to prevent Vietnam from completing a 2-1 historic win and celebrating their place in the final four.<\/p>\n
Vietnam will face Iran in the semi-final, which takes place on Thursday.<\/p>\n
